Hydroxpert is glad to announce the release of SIMAHPP Professional with revised and significantly enhanced features to make this tool flexible and easy to use. Unlike the previous versions of SIMAHPP, which were limited to small hydropower systems, SIMAHPP 4 Professional can be used for both small and large hydropower projects. This newly released version is the product our persistent investigation in regard to the needs and the keen and helpful suggestions and requests of SIMAHPP users and those who would like to see a robust and performing tool.

SIMAHPP Pro has all features of SIMAHPP Standard plus the following additional features such as on the hydraulic parameters:
Capable to simulate variable headwater and tailwater elevations for a given discharge array; options to use various mean head and tailwater elevations (annual mean, monthly mean, and daily mean); hydraulic parameters (discharge and heads) are put under one input dialog and can be edited easily.

We are releasing a Standard Series of SIMAHPP, updated from SIMAHPP 232. SIMAHPP Standard gives greater flexibility for users. This version can be used under various Windows platform, including Windows Vista. It offers also the possibility to customize currency exchange rates in order to get up-to-date cost related determination. It is also provided with User's Guide accessible directly from the Help Menu. A demo version of this version is available for download at www.hydroxpert.com

SIMAHPP v2.3.2 is released with significant feature upgrades from the current version 2.0.0. The major upgrade lies on the flexibility of using various flow data formats (daily, monthly, and annual mean flow). The graphical interface part now has a quick guide dialog at SIMAHPP main Windows startup. The Simulator Windows has also provided with help documentation menu.

The ever increasing price of petrol, and the growing visible problems related to global warming as a result of green house effects due to the use of, among others, high carbon emitting non-renewable energy sources such as oil, gas and coal as well as the potential depletion of these non-renewable energy resources give a good reason to rethink about the use of other alternatives of energy. Renewable energy sources such as hydropower, wind, and solar are the main alternative energy sources which have so far been under developed.
