HydroXpert Ltd provides engineering consultancy and development services in the water, energy, and environment to clients in industry, collectivity, and government and non-government s. HydroXpert proposes innovative solutions for project planning and analysis, resources management (water, energy, material), environmental management, and utility management to clients across multiple sectors. In line with its development strategy, HydroXpert is looking for Partner, Business Manager.

Experience required: Basic office work, tendering, project planning, scheduling, staff recruitment, flexible and able to carry out a wide range of tasks to tight deadlines, know one or more of the business sectors (water, environment, energy)

Qualifications required: A background in any of the following or related areas: business, business administration, engineering, IT, public relation or communication

Business Development

  • Proactively seek opportunities to tender for public and private projects in Hydroxpert’s areas of intervention
  • Market Hydroxpert by prospecting clients and establishing links with organisations
  • Attend networking events such as those organised by the local Chamber of Commerce and promote the companies ethos and services.
  • Liaise with project managers and appointed Hydroxpert consultants to facilitate tender bid submission
  • Develop a marketing strategy
  • Improve service levels offered to customers

Project Support

  • Be contact point for HydroXper following a successful tender
  • Ensure thorough communication with clients and provide a robust audit trail including Technical Queries
  • Work with the managing director to plan and schedule project to ensure that projects meet client’s timescales
  • Attend meetings and minute as required.
  • Carry out actions from meetings as assigned including tasks to assist in project development
  • Investigate and organize training courses as appropriate and required by site operatives
  • Identify and address customer problems in a pro-active manner
  • Keep a log of customer contact and action needed
  • Analyse timesheet categories and project progression
  • Manage the recruitment process for projects including placing adverts in the job centre and local newspapers. Field queries, collate information and short list candidate. Schedule candidates, compose paperwork and attend interviews if requested by line manager.

  • Advocate the customer’s’ interests within Hydroxpert to mutually benefit in the longer term
